 Hey, hey everybody and welcome to the 

FANDOM TAG!!!

    Today, I'll be fangirling all about a bunch of different fandoms and you get to sit back and either:

        a) Fangirl with me!

                       OR

        b) Not...fangirl with me. (Yeah, that kinda fell flat.)

    Sooooo, here are The Rules:

SO LET'S DIVE IN!!!

    What's the first fandom you remember becoming a part of?

   The first fandom I became a part of was hands-down Star Wars! I remember when I was younger I overheard a girl talking about it and I thought, Ew. You like Star Wars?!?!?! That's only for boys! Which was totally wrong of me to think seeing how I knew almost nothing about the series except for the fact that there was a creepy sci-fi vampire-y dude who had massive respiratory issues. And with that knowledge I was like 

   

    BUT THEN, a few years later, my parents got the notion that my sisters and I were old enough to watch this sci-fi franchise and made it their life's mission to make us see them. At that point, I had learned a little more about the series (even though, for some reason, I thought that StoRmTrOopErs WeRe GoOd 😐), but was still not big on indulging myself in this piece of culture that had overtaken the world. My parents, however, had different ideas.

    And with THAT, we spent one Saturday (or maybe it was a Sunday) afternoon watching Star Wars: A New Hope. 

    And, guys, it was AWESOME.

    Since then, I have been an avid Star Wars fan and always will be! (Thanks Mom and Dad! 😉) I've also been trying harder, and failing, but still trying not to judge movies at first glance as much. XD

    What's the newest fandom you've come to enjoy?

    Guys. GUYS. Let's just say I'm in love with this new TV series my family and I started watching recently called The Flash. I will say, it does have a little language and other...content, but other than that, so far it is REALLY good!!! We just finished season one a couple weeks ago and I am super excited to keep following ma boy, Barry Allen, on his crime-fighting journey! 😄

    What's a fandom guaranteed to give you feels?

   Oh man, this is a hard one. I actually haven't really seen many movies or TV shows that "give me feels", but for several years now, I have been a fan of Hallmark's When Calls the Heart series! This show kinda feels like home each time I watch it and it always gives me a variety of emotions, whether it's annoyance with a certain character *cough* Lucas *cough*, laughs from a funny dialogue exchange, or tears after A CERTAIN UNNAMED CHARACTER WAS KILLED OFF (which I'm still slightly miffed about). XP Another reason I love it is that it's one of those rare TV shows these days that are actually clean. 

    Yes, guys, it really is possible for people to make that sort of thing (and I just wish the rest of the entertainment world would realize that). There's no language and the romance always remains super sweet, so that's one thing I can (hopefully) continue to count on as each new season comes out!!!

    

    What's a guilty pleasure fandom of yours?

    Eheh, uh, I would probably say sitcoms like Everybody Loves Raymond, Seinfeld, and The Office. And yeah, I know those shows can be inappropriate, but my parents only let us watch the good episodes so #NoShame. 😉 These sitcoms are HILARIOUS and are really good to watch when you need a laugh! 

    What's the weirdest fandom you've heard of/are a part of?

    Ummmm, I don't know, I guess I'll just go with Stranger Things. I've only heard of this show and probably won't ever see it just because creepy supernatural horror isn't really my thing. I won't judge anyone who does like it, but let's just say that, being someone who couldn't go to sleep like a normal person after watching Jaws, then that show is NOT for me. XD 

    Favorite popular/widely-known fandom? 

    

    

    Does that sum it up??? XD Seriously though, the MCU (i.e. the Avengers) is BY FAR my favorite fandom!!!! The first Marvel film I watched was Captain America: The First Avenger and it was probably my first "real grown-up action movie" if that makes sense at all. 😂 I gotta admit, I'm not a big fan of Marvel's use of language, but unfortunately, that's just how culture rolls these days. *sighs*

    But despite the profanity and what not, Marvel really does have good themes and messages in most of their movies which is one of the main reason why I love it so much! For example, the movies Thor and Dr. Strange have awesome lessons on being humble (not to mention Dr. Strange has some pretty interesting parallels to Christianity), and although Iron Man/ Tony Stark wasn't the most morally stable guy in the beginning of the Infinity Saga, he had one of the best changing character arcs through the series that I've EVER seen! (And well, Captain America is Captain America. #IfYouKnowYouKnow) 😉

    

    Favorite bookish fandom?

    Oh, OH. Keeper of the Lost Cities for sure!!! This series is SOOO good and quickly became one of my favorites after the first book! Mostly because of a certain Keefe Sencen, but we'll leave it at that....XP If you haven't read this series though, I would HIGHLY recommend it! (The fact that they're making a movie about it says a lot!) 😉

    What do you consider your 'homebase', a fandom you can always come back to?

    Eh, probably Star Wars or Marvel! I already rambled about those soooo, moving on!!!

    What's a fandom you know all about...but aren't actually into it?

    Um, guys, don't freak out when I say this, but my answer is....Harry Potter. I've heard of the books and the movies and such, but you're probably not gonna find me actually investing my time in them. It just...doesn't interest me. *shrugs* 

    Which fandom has the best characters?

    Uggghhhh, WHY THIS QUESTION?!?!? Alrighty. *puts on thinking cap* I think I'm gonna go wiiiith.....well I would say Marvel again, but that's old so I'll do the Mandalorian!!! (I actually almost forgot about this one!) XD The characters honestly don't have a whole lot of development (besides Mando) but this is actually another show that's surprisingly SUPER clean and if we're gonna go by characters who are pretty moral and don't use a bunch of language, then this is it!!!

    

    Name your all-time favorite ship.

    I...literally have no idea. I suppose I'll go with Sophie and Keefe (from KotLC) or Steve and Peggy (from the Avengers) OR Jack and Elizabeth from When Calls the Heart (they will ALWAYS be my favorite WCTH ship even though that thing happened).

    What's a fandom you're curious about joining?

   

    Ooooh, let's go with The Hobbit! I've seen the first two The Lord of the Rings movies and since those are TOTALLY AWESOME (as is that certain elf whose name starts with an "L"...) XP then I bet I'd really enjoy The Hobbit series too!  

    So there ya go! Those are all my favorite fandoms!!! (Well, a majority of them anyway.) 😉 Since this tag is like two years old by now, I'm just gonna cheat and tag anyone who wants to do it.
