Creating Good Writing Habits // Guest Post by Natasha Joy

Hello, dear friend!!  *everybody who thought I was for sure dead from the blogosphere*      And... I mean, if you did think that, I don't blame you. Cause it's not like I've been particularly active on my blog or anybody else's in the past...five...months... *blinks*. And we won't even talk about the newsletter I haven't sent out yet.   I have reasons for not posting and whatnot which I will touch on in my next blog post, but as for right now, let's jump right into today's GUEST POST by my good friend Natasha Joy!!      Tasha is such an awesome gal who I hardcore relate to (after all, we do have the same MBTI type) ;) and I am SO EXCITED to use today's post to help announce her new blog which she has just started!! (You should totally go check it out, if you haven't! It's BEAUTIFUL!!! 😍😍😍) That said, let's give a big ole round of applause as I let her take the spotlight! ;P ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~    ...

2022 Teen Writer's Rally (And YOU'RE Invited!!)

Image
It's official, you sigh. Victoria's finally lost her marbles. Why else would she be posting twice in one day??      BUT FEAR NOT, my friends! I have a couple things to say: 1) I lost my marbles long ago so you don't need to worry about that happening again XD and 2) I have a very good reason as to why I'm posting twice today...      I had originally only scheduled one post to go up, but yesterday, a battle cry for some promotional  help rang across the skies and I knew I had to send some aid to this ally in need. So if you, my dear friend, happen to be a writer, listen up!     My favorite writing blog, Teen Writers' Nook , is hosting the FIRST EVER TEEN WRITER'S RALLY !!!! I feel like that GIF is going to violently shake right off the screen     SO. I think the big question is...what is this Teen Writer's Rally? Weeeeell, in the words of Issabelle Perry since I'm too lazy to explain it myself , "[B] eginning October 24, you will be ...

Know the Novel Part 3: Words Written

Image
So, I know I said I'd have to stop cutting it close with posting this on the last Know the Novel day, buuut it seemed like a tradition already, y'all. XD And no, it totally doesn't have to do with the fact that I was finishing this post today...  But let's stop this jibber-jabber and dive in! ('Cause I really don't know what else to say. *coughs*) How did writing this novel go all around?     I'd say really well! I wanted to get a bit more done this month (which I kinda did) but that didn't happen as much as I hoped. Still, I'm pretty content with the amount of words I've been able to write! Did it turn out like you expected or completely different? And how do you feel about the outcome?     Oh, DEFINITELY completely different! I wasn't expecting several new plot threads to weave their way in the story (thanks Silas...and Jarrell) 😑 but mostly, I thought I would be able to get to the..."pre-climax" (I know that's not a thing, ...

Know the Novel Part 2: Writing Before the Flames

Image
Aaaaand we're back with the second part to Christine Smith's Know the Novel!!! As you all know, I participated in the first part of the linkup  HERE and explained a wee bit about it, but if you wanna know more and join the second part of it (even though this is the last day *coughs*) go to THIS HERE !     SO. For the last part, I gushed on and on with an introduction to the the novel I started writing this month (mind you, I'm not doing NaNoWriMo but still thought I'd do some of my own writerly fun along with everyone else) and for parte dos of Know the Novel we'll be diving into how the writing process for Before the Flames  has been going! So in that case, LET US BEGIN.      How’s the writing going on?      WELL, as I breeeifly said in my last post, it’s not going as well as I dreamed it   would be (that’s understandable though cuz this gal has HUGE dreams), BUT realistically  it’s actually going waaaay b...

Know the Novel Part 1: Introducing Before the Flames

I have many things on my bucket list—go to New Zealand, meet a celebrity, publish my very own book, attend Realm Makers, etc. But, one of the biggest to-dos I have been dying to, well... do is the one and only Christine Smith's  annual Know the Novel linkup!!!     I actually just learned about this awesome post series last year (when I was but a wee little newbie to the blogosphere) and when I first read about it I absolutely KNEW I had to join in. The only problem was, I had zero social media platforms at the time. But no matter! It was going on that mental bucket list of mine anyway and I started planning the post in my head even before I ever knew I would actually create a blog. Now, that said, a few things have changed about the post since then, but LET'S CELEBRATE because yours truly is finally getting another thing marked off her list!!! *parties for 2.3984 seconds*     All right, enough of that. Letsies get to business! *cackles*   ...
